- Description
- The Regional Health Contracting Activity-Atlantic, Womack Army Medical Center WAMC), Fort Bragg, NC intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) using other than full and open competition procedures to American Red Cross (ARC) located in Charlotte, NC. This BPA will include blood products purchased in accordance with guidelines and directives of the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), College of American Pathologist (CAP), and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) standards. Because the ARC meets the guidelines of these three organizations, the ARC blood products and services are the only acceptable safe product and series for WAMC as the alternate blood source. All requirements from the ARC are purchased on an urgent basis when the lab is notified of shortages through the Armed Services National Blood Exchange Program. The period of performance for this requirement is 3 Mar 2018 through 2 Mar 2023. The proposed BPA will provide blood, blood products, blood supplies and blood treatment services as required when shortages occur at (WAMC). Vendor's interested in future announcements shall provide detailed information of their capabilities, certifications and product literature to meet requirements, in addition vendor's must be able to deliver blood products within a 3 hour timeframe.
