- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), "[c] ontracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available." Airborne Medical Depot, LLC, located at 5464 W Lady Bug Ct, Tuscon, AZ 85742, is the only known source capable of meeting the following requirement. The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for Centinel Spine's Midline II Ti spinal implants and associated STALIF ABO screws for an anterior lumbar interbody fusion procedure scheduled for 24 January 2018 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The procedure must be attended by a surgical sales representative who has in his/her possession alternative Centinel Spine products reasonably foreseeable for this type of procedure. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113, with a size standard of 750 employees. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be available for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
