Description
Synopsis FA8520-18-Q-0001 THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF RFQ IS ON OR AROUND 2 FEB 2018. THIS ACQUISTION WILL BE A 2 MONTH FIRM- FIXED PRICE CONTRACT WITH A BASIC PERIOD ONLY. This requirement is for Engineering Services required to increase reliability and availability of the Smart Bomb Rack Controller (SBRC), NSNs 1095-01-513-9507 and 1095-01-597-3119. Conduct root-cause analysis of SBRC failure modes utilizing the COLT and SBRA TPS and evaluate current test inputs and parameters to determine common points of failure. Trouble shoot the identified failures and attempt to turn the asset into serviceable condition through circuit card assembly removal and re-installation. This requirement is sole source to: Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), 135 Osigian Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Authority: 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The basic requirement is for Engineering Services required to increase reliability and availability of the Smart Bomb Rack Controller (SBRC), NSNs 1095-01-513-9507 and 1095-01-597-3119. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is expected to be issued on or around 2 Feb 2018 with response due 5 days after solicitation issue date. Delivery is 60 calendar days after effective date of funded task order. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The RFQ will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
