- Draft Performance Work Statement This Sources Sought is issued for informational and planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS, THEREFORE NO PROPOSALS ARE REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirement planning. The information requested by this synopsis will be used within BEP to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. BEP is seeking a small business set-aside basis; two (2) or more qualified small businesses to respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a small business set-aside. BEP encourages all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantaged Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns, to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement to perform Preventative Maintenance and Calibration of the Discovery Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) Instrument including corresponding thermal accessories as defined in the Performance Work Statement for the BEP's Washington, DC Facility (DCF) located at 301 14th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20228. The contractor will provide basic service objectives include providing preventative maintenance and calibration of the DSC and TGA Instrument, including corresponding accessories, on a scheduled basis and to provide prompt, responsive telephone and e-mail support including an expert engineer dispatched as often as needed for on-site services for preventative maintenance and calibration of the DSC and TGA Instrument. Please refer to the attached Draft PWS for specifics regarding this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, which has a small business size standard of $20.5M. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the Sources Sought or resulting market research.
