- This is a Market Survey to locate sources for 10 kW Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Generator Sets, Model 903A. The Army has the original performance specifications and the detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units, however, the technical data package has become deficient due to parts obsolescence (i.e. Model 903A). The Technical Data Package defines Generator Set, Diesel Engine, NSN: 6115-01-431-3062, CECOM P/N: 13230E6218, (CAGE CODE: 97403). The technical data package and performance specification will be provided upon request. An APU Generator Set that maximizes use of existing parts in the Technical Data Package is highly desired. The response must include documentation such as a capability statement, economic order quantities, price break ranges, minimum and maximum monthly unit production capability, production lead time, proposal of an existing Non-Developmental APU or estimated first article development costs, rough order of magnitude estimated production unit cost, estimated time to develop and deliver a First Article test APU, estimated time to complete testing, information and test data/performed on similar equipment you have manufactured, number of years parts will be available or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the APUs. The Government will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. Please complete the following questions. If so, please provide the current contract number. 5) Is the part you are proposing available in the commercial market place? 6) If additional time is needed to respond to this inquiry, please contact Edward Engbert. This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and to assist in making future acquisition strategy decisions. This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this RFI.
