Description

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS - NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE 10 (NCO 10) Description: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The singular purpose of this notice is to obtain information on Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) interest, capabilities and qualifications to determine if a set-aside is appropriate. Quotes are NOT being requested or accepted at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Dayton VA Medical Center, has a requirement for the following items: Desk chairs, lounge chairs, side chairs, tables, waiting room chairs, training tables, end tables, recliners, and stackable chairs, to be used in the Mental Health Service offices and group spaces. (For salient characteristics, please see information below.) SINGLE SEAT CHAIRS: Chair dimensions must have a minimum of seat height 19, seat width - 21, and seat depth 17.5. Chair grouping/family must have single seating, gang seating, connecting tables, bariatric chair, love seat, patient chair, motion patient chair, sleeper chair, glider chair and recliner chair within the group for versatility. Chair must be available with contrasting seat and back upholstery. Chair must have open arms and closed arms options and separate seat and back for ease of cleaning. Chair must have steel frame, with arm cap options available in poly, wood or solid surface. Chair must have wall-saver legs standard. Chair must have arms caps available in 3 different polys, 9 different wood finishes and a solid surface option. Chair s metal frame must be available in at least 20 standard powder coat options. Chair must have 4 legs with non-marring plastic or nylon glide options. Chair must have field replaceable backs, arms, poly arm caps and seats. RECTANGULAR TABLES: Must have a minimum of 3 different sizes per group in order to get maximum flexibility from group. Tables must have a minimum of 7 different shape options within the group in order to use different tables within the same group together to create multiple configurations. Must have the option in group for flip top or casters. Must have option of different heights for table top. Must have option for grommets. Must have a minimum of 3 frame colors for versatility in color design. Must offer a bullnose, self and wood edge option. Table bases must be available in an X base, T base or TT base. Tables must have removable modesty panel option. Tables must have option available to be powered with under table wire management. Tables must have adjustable glides or self-leveling glides. LOUNGE CHAIRS: Lounge chairs must have dimensions, seat height, depth and width, with minimums of: Seat height needs to be at least 18, seat width at least 23.5 and depth at least 18.5. Manufacturer must have option to contrast fabric materials on seat and back/body of chairs. Lounge seating must have separate seat and back. Lounge chairs must have legs, no sled base. Lounge chairs must have nylon glides. Lounge chair must have option of full wood arm caps. Lounge chair must have removable cushions. Lounge chair must have option of a removable tablet arm, in various shapes, on either side. Lounge chair must offer a grouping of sofa and love seat, (3 seater & 2 seater). Lounge chair must have or offer wood legs. STACKABLE CHAIRS (2 different styles): Style 1: Stack Chairs must have a minimum seat height of 18 with overall dimensions a minimum of width 23-1/2, depth 23, and height of 32. Stack Chairs must have 4 legs instead of sled base. Chair must have option of seat and back being either wood, plastic, upholstered with vinyl or fabric or a combination of any of options listed. Casters must be an option. Chair group must have option of arms or no arms. Chair must have separate seat and back. Chair must be able to be stacked at least 10 high. Chair must have a wall saver leg option. Chair must have a tablet option size of at least 12 x 20. Style 2: Stack Chairs must have a minimum seat height of 17.5, seat width of 17.75, and seat depth of 19.5. Stack Chairs must have 4 legs with arm and armless option Chair must have option of seat and back being either wood, plastic, upholstered with vinyl or fabric or a combination of any of options listed. Casters must be an option. Chair frame must come in various colors minimum 6 colors Chair must have separate seat and back. Chair must be able to be stacked at least 10 high. Chair must have a wall saver leg option. Chair must have a tablet option. Chair grouping must have a Bariatric option Chair must have option of rounded or square back BARIATRIC CHAIRS: Chair must be tested to support weight of at least 700 lbs. static or dynamic Seat Frame must be fully welded structural steel frame, with frame bolted to arms using structural grade fasteners. Chair width must be between 29 31, with seat width a minimum of 30. Chair depth must be between 20 23.5, with a seat depth a minimum of 17.5. Chair height must be between 30 33, with a seat height of 19. Chair arm height must be a minimum of 27.5 AFF to top of arm cap. Chair must have arms caps available in 3 different polys, 9 different wood finishes, 12 different metal finishes and a solid surface option Chair must have field replaceable components Chair must be available with contrasting upholstery NESTING TABLES: Table series must leg and under table mount wire management capabilities. Table must have option of grommets. Table must have modesty panel options, with or without. Tables must have option of locking casters or nylon glides. Glides and casters must be interchangeable without changing table height. Tables must have leg within leg nesting with articulating legs for closer storage. Series must have multiple table top shapes such as Trapezoid, Half Round, 120 degree. Tables must come in varying sizes from 48 L 96 L and 18 D 30 D. Tables must come in fixed and adjustable heights. Table top must be in a totally upright position when flipped up for minimum storage space. Footprint of table in upright storage position cannot exceed 23 on an 18 table or 29 on a 24 table. Table edge must be available in bullnose, vinyl or self edge. Table height must be between 27.5 up to 32 to accommodate ADA requirements. TASK CHAIRS: Chairs must have adjustable height and width arms. Adjustable Height & Width Arms (3" vertical & 3" per arm horizontal) Chairs must have a separate seat and back unit. Seat width must be a minimum of 20. Chairs must have adjustable back, both forward and back; and up and down, along with tilt adjustments. Chairs must have option of hard or soft casters and must have a 5 star base. Chairs must have option of upholstered fabric or vinyl on seat and back or a combination of each. The information obtained through this notice will be utilized exclusively as market research for acquisition planning purposes. All work to be performed will be within North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 337214, Office Furniture (Except Wood) Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 Employees. In order to be eligible to respond as an SDVOSB or VOSB, a firm must be Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) registered in VetBiz. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. An active registration in the System for Awards Management (SAM) is also required. Registration is available at www.sam.gov. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must contain the following information: (1) Company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) Documentation that clearly demonstrates the firm s capability of performing / delivering; (3) Proof of registration in the VA Vet Biz website and verification by VA CVE (CVE); (4) Business names of authorized distributors/dealers categorized as Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB); and (4) Are items available on the Open Market or FSS/GSA.
