BACKGROUND/PURPOSE/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is requesting comments, questions and feedback from industry regarding a planned procurement of several variations and configurations of the Entraco Sea-FROST conduit parts. These parts will be used to perform various repairs aboard U.S. Naval ships including the repair of flexible conduit systems supporting the ship's communications, weapons, navigation, force protection, and flight-deck operations systems. In addition to restoring the operational capability of these systems, the specialized conduit used in these repairs also maintain the ship's Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) protection, and decreases the occurrence of corrosion. The conduit repairs consist of a weatherproof, flexible conduit system that meets the environmental and EMI/EMP protection standards established by NAVSEA in MIL-PRF-24758A. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Government is seeking industry input to assist in identifying components that might meet the requirements described above. Please note that the Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties responding to this RFI. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
