Description

The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (the VA ) and whomever becomes their corporate partners will explore and launch a pilot to deliver connected health, technology-enabled services, and accessibility features to a selection of VA members. To demonstrate potential efficacy and scale of connected health solutions within the VA, we anticipate a pilot of more than 200 members across the Coatesville VA catchment area. The pilot will potentially include an interactive healthcare content network delivered to members screen of choice as well as the ability to engage in video visit health consultations with VA clinicians and/or case managers. Additionally, there is an opportunity for the partner and the VA to co-develop new healthcare video content, which could be delivered alongside the Provider s existing library. Examples of pilot features include the following: A. Connected Health: i. Health Content Network Access to digital library of hundreds of health condition videos, delivered any time, any device (TV STB or other platforms such as Roku, Amazon Fire, smartphone, tablet, desktop) Ability to browse, search, watch, favorite, and share video content Multi-lingual, closed captioning availability Interactive features such as questionnaires, quizzes, surveys to engage and educate members Adherence to HIPAA guidelines on a secure platform Usage analytics Content Management back-end system allowing integration with existing workflow, real-time updates & notifications, metadata management, and review/approval process of content Meets ADA Accessibility standards ii.   Video Messaging Point-to-point, secure video calling between members, care team, and anyone with internet connection Available on native mobile and tablet apps (Android, iOS), web and mobile web   Integrated with Health Content Network for seamless member experience Integrated survey capability Asynchronous video calling for users to record and send videos offline Group calling B.   Accessibility (for pilot participants that have Comcast X1 STB): i.   X1 STB Voice Guidance (Talking Guide) Voice Remote w/ commands for Accessibility (closed captions, video description, Voice Guidance, Accessibility Settings) Ease of access to video description (video description collection page, Voice Control commands, transport bar shortcut) Ease of access to closed captions (Voice Control commands, transport bar shortcut) Xi5 (WiFi STB) with Bluetooth audio capability. Pair with external speakers, bone conduction headphones) Controlling X1 using eye tracking technology ii. Mobile - Navigating mobile apps (Stream, Remote, Home, Connect, My Account) using accessibility features Using apps with Switch control (e.g. sip & puff, Blue2 Switch) Using apps with Voiceover (iOS) or Talkback (Android)
