- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) has released a Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate passenger ferry service to Alcatraz and associated services within Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The NPS issued the Prospectus beginning Wednesday, January 31, 2018, under the terms described in the Prospectus. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for fifteen (15) years. Any proposal, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on May 31, 2018 by the National Park Service, Commercial Services, Attn: Kimberley Gagliolo, 333 Bush Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, California 94104, in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. The Prospectus is available on-line at the following website: https://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm. If you retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website or are interested in receiving notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence, please notify Kimberley Gagliolo by email at kim_gagliolo@nps.gov, so you are placed on the mailing list. In order to provide interested parties enough time to make necessary arrangements, the NPS provided advance notice of a one day site visit scheduled for February 6, 2018. This site visit is an opportunity for all interested parties to tour the Concession Facilities and San Francisco Embarkation Site, including back of the house operations. Attendance is not required in order to submit a proposal, however attendance is encouraged as this will be the ONLY site visit provided by the NPS. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES intending to attend the scheduled site visit MUST SEND AN EMAIL MESSAGE to Kimberley Gagliolo, Commercial Services Specialist at the email noted above, no later than 2:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) February 2, 2018 to reserve a spot. At that time you will receive further instructions regarding the site visit. The email must provide the following information: name of company or organization, a list of ALL attendees (full name), name of the primary contact, including email and phone number. Due to space constraints, interested parties will be limited to a total of six (6) people per company or organization. Additionally, the site visit will provide access to work areas not open to the public, therefore no one under the age of 18 will be permitted on the site visit. Finally, questions are due to Kimberley Gagliolo in writing (to the email noted above), no later than 2:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on February 20, 2018.
