- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, on a sole-source basis, for the procurement of Brake Modular NSN: 2530-01-453-078 to The Entwistle Company. The Entwistle Company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Brake Modular PN: 74965. The requested part is manufactured for the A/S32P-25 Fire Truck. The Entwistle Company is the only known source with the knowledge and technical data to provide these components for the Brake Modular as they are the OEM and retains all the proprietary/technical data rights and drawings. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
