- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to Amirix Systems Inc. dba Vemco, Div of, located at 20 Angus Morton Dr. Bedford, NS, B4B 0L9, Canada. This contract action is for supplies &/or services for which the agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Purchase of 90, V9-2x-A69-1601 Acoustic Telemetry Transmitters to expand anadromous fish telemetry project in the Merrimack River and the Gulf of Maine. Delivery to USFWS, Central New England Fishery Resource Office, 151 Broad Street Nashua, NH 03063. NAICS code is 335999, All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees Differences in design of other manufacturer's telemetry systems make them incompatible with Vemco/Amirix systems. The coding transmitted from Vemco/Amirix tags is proprietary and requires Vemco/Amirix receivers to decode. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement &/or a proposal which if received prior to 02/06/2018 may be considered by the agency. Responses received from this solicitation will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the agency not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency.
