Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332312 (Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing). A Freestanding Tower (Model Rohn R-25SS035) is known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can provide the following Brand Name Only: CLIN Item Description Qty Unit 0001 R-25SS035 ROHN R-25SS035 35ft freestanding tower is built using the popular ROHN 25G guyed tower sections. All sections are 5ft or 10ft in length with 1.25in OD 16GA wall pipe legs and 5/16in solid serpentine bracing. The ROHN R-25SS035 35ft freestanding tower kit includes: (2) ROHN 25G standard 10ft tower section (1) ROHN 25G standard 5ft tower section (1) ROHN 25G standard 9.75ft top section (1) ROHN 25G base (2) 8' ground rod kits (1) building bracket 1 EA 0002 Andrew DB222-A Exposed dipole quasi-omnidirectional antenna operates in the frequency range 150 - 158 Mhz. 1 EA 0003 LMR-500 1/2' TIMES CABLE 100 FT 0004 Ground Kits Ground kits 2 EA 0005 N Type Connectors for LMR-500 cable 4 EA 0006 Misc. Supplies Miscellaneous supplies 1 EA 0007 Surge Suppressor Antenna line surge suppressor and cable entry 1 EA 0008 Installation Installation of tower/antenna/grounding, to include reconfigure/reprogram/tune, and optimize customers existing Quantar repeater and duplexer. 1 EA Salient Characteristics for Freestanding Tower (Model Rohn R-25SS035) Tower antenna must have capability to reach across 216 acres and 50 buildings across campus Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-Verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 332312 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses should be submitted by e-mail to Carl Weber at carl.weber3@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than close of business (4:30 p.m.) Central Standard Time on Wednesday, February 07, 2018.
