- Source Sought Contracting Office Address General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (PBS), Acquisition Services, Fort Worth Office (7PQC), 819 Taylor Street, Room 12B, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102, UNITED STATES. Description The General Services Administration, Public Building Service is seeking a fire alarm contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision for design build services for the purpose of full replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new fire alarm, voice communication and evacuation system at the San Angelo Federal Courthouse. The Contractor must be a licensed fire alarm contractor in the State of Texas. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION Available Manufacturers: Manufacturers/Brand: Equipment shall be proprietary equipment. Proprietary equipment is such that the manufacturer limits the purchase and installation of their fire alarm systems strictly through authorized distributorships. Manufacturers must license a minimum of three independent Fire Alarm installation contractors as Authorized Distributors of their brand of fire alarm products within 300 miles of the project site. All equipment and components shall be new and of the same manufacturer, brand and current model. The following manufacturers/brands are known to meet the above requirements but are not all inclusive. 1. Siemens Building Technologies 2. EST 3. Notifier In accordance with FAR 36.204, disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the construction cost of magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code is 238210 and the current size standard is $15 Million. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 225 days to complete. Please note that there is no solicitation at this time; the purpose of this announcement is to identify available sources only. Award of any resulting procurement will be based on a source selection employing a “Best Value Concept” methodology. This is a survey of the market of potential small businesses that are SBA certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In response to this announcement, please provide the following: Business Name, Business Address, Contact Phone Number/Email and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Firm Status. Firms responding to this Sources Sought shall address the following: (1) Of what Manufacturer/Brand fire alarm system are you an Authorized Distributor? (2) It is requested that interested small businesses submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 5 pages in length, single-space, 12 point font) demonstrating the ability to perform the requested work (3) Relevant experience: Provide 3 projects to include experience in similar size and scope of projects performed within the last five years, include whether the project was performed as a prime or sub-contractor, value, square footage of project, a brief description of how the project relates to the technical work required described herein. (4) Statement regarding bonding capabilities. (5) Indicate if your company is a small business and the socio-economic status if any. All interested firms shall be required to register in the Government’s System for Award Management (SAM)-www.sam.gov. Prior Government work is not required for submitting a response under this Sources Sought synopsis. However, all design and construction for this project shall be required to adhere to the Scope of Work and all Federal, State and Local ordinances.
