Description

This acquisition is for the procurement of the Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round (AUR) Risk Reduction Studies for Virginia Class Block V Submarines. The Contractor shall complete risk reduction studies and analyses, to include modeling and simulation studies for various launch conditions of the Tomahawk Block IV AUR configurations onboard the Virginia Class Block V Submarine (Virginia Payload Module (VPM)). NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Missiles Systems (RMS), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Period of performance for this effort estimated as 12 months. Raytheon is the sole source manufacture of the Tomahawk missile system. Raytheon point of contact for Small Businesses interested in subcontracting - (Anyone interested in subcontracting for small business contracts contact Matthew DePiero - (520) 663-8982). Because detailed knowledge of the BLK IV Tomahawk Missile is required to perform the analysis necessary, RMS is the only known source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs. The data associated with the Tomahawk missile is export controlled and is not available to foreign sources or representatives.
