- The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources for the purchase and repair of Howden axial fans and associated parts to support multiple vessel classes. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated for award. This information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine the method of procurement including whether to set-aside the procurement for small business or other set-aside programs, The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 333413, Industrial and Commercial Fan and Blower and Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Coast Guard does not possess the proprietary technical specifications, drawings, manufacturing/provisioning data, or special tools necessary to provide these supplies or training. This information was not purchased at the time of the original acquisition and is proprietary to the OEM, Howden North America / Howden American Fan. Potential sources can submit information demonstrating their capabilities to provide genuine OEM Howden axial fans and associated parts and conduct repairs. This information shall include, but is not limited to: (1) Data that the required support and supplies have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past; AND (2) a written letter, signed by the OEM, which verifies the interested party's authority to supply OEM support manufactured items and parts to the Government and provide the necessary overhaul services. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this synopsis. The above information must be received no later than five (5) calendar days from the date this notice is published. Information received after this period may not be considered.
