Description

Intend to Award Sole Source to: e3 Med-Acoustics THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: E3 Med-Acoustics 1685 E Park Place Blvd. Stone Mountain, GA 30087 The objective of this sole source award is to acquire preventive maintenance for Audioscan, Interacoustics, and Grason-Stadler audiometry equipment. Sole source is based on only one responsible source because e3 Med-Acoustics has submitted authorization letters from these Manufacturers, which only authorize e3 Med-Acoustics to work on their equipment in this region. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 03:00PM EST on February 05, 2018 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Birmingham VA Medical Center, Intent to Sole Source to e3 Med-Acoustics. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
