- J&A Single Source Justification The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with VISTA MACHINES, for the procurement of the following items: Quantity of 2: VISTA Machines Model M-20 up cut saws. Equipment must meet the following minimal specifications: * Must enable two handed operation and capable of miter cut up to 75 degrees from 0 (90 degree cut) and cutting 2x6s on edge for bevel cuts. * In addition to 75 deg., saw must have the capability for typical cuts: 90 deg. on 2x12s - 30 deg. on 2x10s - 45 deg. on 2x8s - 60 deg. on 2x6s - 70 deg. on 2x4s * Shall have standard features or equivalent to; 10 HP - Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled (TEFC), 3 phase arbor drive motor, 2 hand cycle control, magnetic starter in dust proof enclosure, large easy to read scales 0-75 or 90-15 degree, and OSHA safety blow gun. This requirement is conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), "Soliciting From A Single Source", as documented in the attached Single Source Justification. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Vendor's who feel they should be considered for this acquisition must submit an interest letter that demonstrates company's technical expertise, certifications or authorization to compete for this acquisition as an authorized dealer for this equipment. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. THIS IS A TIME SENSATIVE REQUIREMENT: All interested firms must respond to this notice no later by Tuesday, 6 February 2018, 2:30pm EST to Breysi Stephens, via E-mail breysi.stephens@us.af.mil, phone (520) 228-3582 or Fax (520) 228-5462. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
