- Description
- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the purchase of two (2) Advanced Technology (AT) / Computed Tomography (CT) test units and associated warranty, testing, ancillary equipment, installation, training and support services. Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a contract to the following companies upon AT-2 Tier II certification as required under Qualified Product List (QPL) announcement 70T04018APL9DPSP001: • Analogic Corporation, 8 Centennial Drive, Peabody, MA 01960 • IDSS Holdings, Inc., 430 Bedford Road, Ste. 204, Armonk, NY 10504 • L3 Communications Security and Detection Systems Incorporated, 10E Commerce Way, Woburn, MA 01801 • ScanTech Identification Beam Systems, LLC, 1735 Enterprise Dr., Buford, GA 30518 • Smiths Detection Incorporated, 2202 Lakeside Blvd., Edgewood, MD 21040 This contract will address the requirements of TSA's Office of Acquisition Program Management (OAPM) to deliver innovative, mission-driven capabilities required by the frontline to safeguard America's transportation system and address the rapidly-evolving threats in airport checkpoints today. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested vendors who may wish to seek subcontracting opportunities should contact the above named companies directly.
