Industry Day Announcement for Modernizing Instrumentation Solutions for Test and Evaluation (MISTE) The Program Executive Officer for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation is hosting an Industry Day for the Modernizing Instrumentation Solutions for Test and Evaluation (MISTE) program. When: Friday, March 2, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Where: 3100 Technology Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826, Partnership III Building, Room Room 321 A&B. Why: Provide an overview of the MISTE and Integrated Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Test and Evaluation (ILTE) requirements. Program Manager Instrumentation, Targets, Threats, and SOF Training Systems (PM ITTS) Instrumentation Management Office (IMO) has a requirement to harness the ingenuity and creativity of industry to develop, procure, integrate, and field Major and Minor test instrumentation systems in support of developmental and operational military systems testing conducted at Major Range and Test Center sites. MISTE will enable PM ITTS IMO to adopt an enterprise approach to modernizing developmental and operational test instrumentation, with a focus on harnessing test instrumentation commonality, and reducing fielding time and lifecycle cost. The spectrum of effort required is expected to range from Science & Technology transitions to material test instrumentation solution development, fielding and sustainment. The preponderance of the effort will be focused on T&E instrumentation prototyping, development, delivery, and system sustainment, and other related tasks. MISTE will include product line (P/L) management support, requirements analysis, concept exploration and technology insertions to modernize the instrumentation enterprise to include systems engineering and multiple-disciplinary engineering support. Requirements will include P/L management, maintenance, and evolution of the Test Instrumentation P/L assets under the MISTE contract to include but not limited to: 1) Instrumentation development and product delivery 2) System Integration 3) Product Line Management Tool 4) Architectural Initiatives 5) Software Integration 6) Hardware Integration 7) Testing/Automated Testing 8) New Equipment Training (NET) 9) Virtualization- Infrastructure 10) Core Asset Development & Automation 11) Distributed Configuration Management 12) Product Line Efficiency Analysis 13) System Engineering 14) P/L Tools & Methodologies Management 15) Model Based Systems Engineering SoS Architecture Model 16) Testing as a Service (TaaS) The anticipated applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 and the Product Service Code is 6695, Combination and Miscellaneous Instruments. This effort is currently estimated at $700M. There is limited space available at this event so all interested parties are encouraged to register as soon as possible by emailing Ms. Lauren Cook, lauren.l.cooke.civ@mail.mil or Joseph.Candelaria5.civ@mail.mil.
