Description
Samples Required Summary Draft Statement of Work THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Background: The Library of Congress, one of the largest libraries in the world with over 164 million items, requires contractor support for collections care. Commercial binding is the largest portion of the desired contractor support but other services required include general collection conservation work that cannot be done in-house, reformatting of collections in either digital or facsimile format depending on copyright status, or the housing of damaged collection materials. The Government anticipates awarding a single or multiple contracts with a five year term, to be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) with Firm Fixed-Price Orders. Sources Sought Instructions: This Sources Sought Notice is a market research tool being used for the purpose of obtaining industry feedback regarding the length of time vendors will need to produce the required work samples during the upcoming Solicitation. Interested vendors should review the documents attached to this posting, which include a draft Statement of Work (SOW) and a Summary of Required Samples. A four week turnaround time is anticipated for the Solicitation phase of the contract award process; interested vendors are requested to provide feedback on the sufficiency of the 4 week Solicitation window by the closing date of this Notice. Respondents are required to submit a one-page capability statement along with any feedback regarding the length of time needed to produce the samples. Please send responses or questions by email to Contract Specialist Gail MacFarquhar at gmac@loc.gov adding a cc to Contracting Officer Jake von Reyn at jare@loc.gov. The government will not pay for any information received from respondents as a result of this notice.
