- Description
- Synopsis: Team Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) anticipates hosting the APG Discovery Week Advanced Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI) on April 17-20, 2018, at APG, MD. This announcement is meant only as a Save the Date as the event is subject to change. The goal of the APG Discovery Week APBI is to provide industry with networking opportunities for both large and small businesses. The APBI will describe potential future contracting opportunities for mission areas that focus on: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Research and Development; Test and Evaluation; Chemical and Biological Defense; APG Garrison; and US Army Corps of Engineers - Baltimore District. The APG Discovery Week APBI will identify potential contracting opportunities that are aligned with the roadmaps of each respective organization, specifically focusing on Fiscal Years 2019-2020. The APBI slides are anticipated to be posted electronically two weeks prior to the start of the event. The Government will not hear formal bids from industry, as the purpose of the APBI is for the Government to brief upcoming opportunities to industry to help it better understand Army capability requirements and shape its internal development efforts. LOCATION: Myer Auditorium, Building 6000, APG North, MD REGISTRATION: The APG Discovery Week APBI will be unclassified and open to all interested contractors, large and small businesses, and academia as well as other Government stakeholders. All APG Discovery Week APBI attendees must be United States citizens and meet the requirements for admission to APG, to include: proper identification (i.e., driver's license and/or Common Access Card), car registration or a car rental agreement, and proof of insurance. ***Note: APBI attendees will be invited to attend the APG Discovery Fest on Saturday April 21. Additional details regarding APG Discovery Fest will be included in APBI registration materials.*** Specific registration procedures and additional information about APG Discovery Week APBI will be released via amendment to this notice prior to registration opening. There will be a registration fee associated with APG Discovery Week APBI. There are no restrictions on the number of registrations available per company. However, to allow maximum participation in briefings, seating in Myer Auditorium may be limited to no more than two representatives per company/major business line for individual briefings during APG Discovery Week APBI. Sidebar, breakout, and networking opportunities will continue to be available throughout the day in adjacent venues. Registration for each full day module and networking social will remain open until all available seats for that event have been allocated. All questions related to this event should be directed to Team APG at usarmy.apg.cecom.mbx.apbi-registration@mail.mil.
