- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Painting and Repair to the Survey Vessel Keegan. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to repair various critical structural safety concerns. The Keegan will be stripped of all paint, non-skid materials and will be cleaned using the below materials. This includes hardware and labor for sand blasting the gunnel, hull and adding new non-skid application on top of the gunnel. The pilot house exterior will also be included in this effort. The proposed work relates to components of essential need, safety, secure and efficient operations of the vessel Keegan. This solicitation will be available on or about 20 Feb 2018. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILALABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS RELEASED. The solicitation will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov). In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (Go to http://www.fbo.gov and "register now" under Vendor/Citizens). Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238320 with a Small Business Size Standard of $15 Million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
