Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). A Germfree Laboratories, Inc. 3FT Laminar Flow Glovebox Isolator (CAI) is known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Line Item Item Description Qty Unit 0001 LFGI-3USP 3FT LAMINAR FLOW GLOVEBOX ISOLATOR (CAI) 1 EA 0002 LFGI-A4 LOW FLOW AUDIBLE ALARM 1 EA 0003 LFGI-A8E ELECTRICAL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT FOR LFGI 1 EA 0004 LFGI-A12A EXHAUST TRANSITION WITH 8" DIAMETER 1 EA 0005 LFGI-A33B TWO PART SLEEVES FOR LFGI 1 EA 0006 LFGI-A85M LINT FREE CLEANING MOP HEADS 1 EA 0007 LFGI-A85S STAINLESS STEEL LFGI CLEANING HANDLE 1 EA Salient Characteristics (Germfree Laboratories, Inc. 3FT Laminar Flow Glovebox Isolator (CAI) (Model Number LFGI-3USP) or EQUAL): Positive pressure option laminar air flow isolator glove box with approximately 3 ft of working area. Must have all venting equipment. Must have low flow audible alarm. Must be on a castor wheel base for easy movement. Must run on regular 115/120 V wall power. The base must have motorized adjustable height for disabled employees and ergonomic ease of use. Cabinet exhaust couplings and duct couplings required as the hood must be capable of coupling to controlled airflow ductwork. Must be constructed of stainless and plexiglass. Cleaning equipment accessories are required and must be matched to the unit. Must meet all USP 797 aseptic compounding certification requirements. Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-Verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 750 Employees. Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to Jim Hedman at james.hedman2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on Thursday, February 8th 2018.
