- Project Title: Geriatric Research for Geriatric Program The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source to Mt. Sinai School of Medicine for tuition and fees for mandatory training for Graduates of the VA Geriatric Scholars Program. This is the Leadership and Management in Geriatrics Conference held by the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine Geriatric Research Education Clinical Center. Period of Performance: September 25, 2018 September 28, 2018. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 611430 with a business size standard of $27.5M. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission or objective. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. This is not a solicitation.
