Description

PROJECT: Combined Orthotic and Prosthetic Requirement BACKGROUND: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS), hereinafter called "the Agency", is conducting market research and seeking information and comment through this Request for Information (RFI) from all interested vendors regarding the availability of orthotic softgood and prosthetic commercial item(s) described in this document. Vendors should note that responses to this RFI may in part be utilized by the Agency in a determination whether or not to set aside particularly listed Agency items or item exclusively for participation by various small business socio-economic concerns. A vendor may choose to provide a RFI response to one or more of the listed items. The term vendor refers to those members of industry providing a response to this RFI. RFI responses must be accurate and must be made individually to each item. This is a Request for Information only. It is not an invitation to submit any offers or bids. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Do not submit any offers or bids in response to this (RFI). Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Agency to form a binding contract. The Agency will not award a contract on the basis of this RFI nor will it pay for information. Please see the attached Draft Minimum Technical Requirements for the following products: 1. Non-PNEUMATIC WALKING SPLINT - Cam-walker type; non-hinged boot (L4386) 2. PNEUMATIC WALKING SPLINT - Cam walker type; non-hinged (L4360) 3. COMPRESSION STOCKING. Below the knee with closed toe, 18-30mmHg (A6530) 4. COMPRESSION STOCKING - Below the knee with open toe; 18-30mmHg (A6530) 5. COMPRESSION STOCKING - Below the knee with closed toe; 30-40mmHg. (A6531) 6. COMPRESSION STOCKING - Thigh high with closed toe; 18-30mmHg (A6533) 7. COMPRESSION STOCKING - Thigh High with open toe; 18-30mmHg (A6533) 8. TRANSTIBIAL SINGLE PLY SOCK WITHOUT HOLE (L8460) 9. TRANSTIBIAL SINGLE PLY SOCK WITH REINFORCED HOLE (L8460) 10. POST-OP ROM KNEE ORTHOSIS (l832) Questions / Information Requests: This information request is for commercially available products. Question: Is your company a Veteran Owned Small business (VOSB) as described by FAR Part 2? 10. Question: If your company is a (SDVOSB) or (VOSB), is it verified in the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Vendor Information Pages? See https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ 11. Question: What is the socio economic status (See FAR Parts 2 and 19 for definitions) of your company? 12. Question: Has your company completed representations regarding its socioeconomic status on the https://www.sam.gov website? Responses: This RFI for Orthotics and Prosthetics is an RFI to collect market information for planning purposes. It does not reflect nor does it limit the amount of different items being procured. Responses must be submitted to Department of Veterans Affairs, Commodity Services and Acquisition Services, on or before 4:30 PM Mountain Time on Tuesday February 13, 2018. Incomplete responses may be excluded as market research of future solicitations. Please e-mail responses.
