Description
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Intends to award a sole source contract to FANIX SOFTWARE PTY LTD, Chapel Hill, QLD, 4069 Australia. FANIX is the developer and owner of the Asutype Software. FANIX sometimes uses authorized reseller or purchasing agent to sell this software to their various customers. DHA has a need for the Asutype Assurance-Only Licenses. Because of the unique nature of this product, FANIX will only sell this item directly to the customer and not a reseller, purchasing agent or third party. Therefore, DHA is unable to procure this item using an authorized resellers, purchasing agent or third party. Based on the aforementioned information, DHA Contracting San Antonio intends on purchasing the Assurance only Licenses by direct purchase from FANIX. Asutype Software Special Assurance is the tool used to administer the Medical Applications for Provider Satisfaction (MAPS) Survey. MEDCOM G-6 provides funding through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for continued support of the Medical Applications for Provider Satisfaction (MAPS) program and the Asutype software is cited to be used with the application of the survey. Medical providers use the software as a tool for voice dictation, allowing shortcuts to enter patient information and a medical dictionary for accuracy. A unique application to this software is the ability for Multi-tier configuration. Medical group leaders benefit by sharing information through linking to all computers in their group using the same group preferences. This provides the information to all group users and eliminates the need to put a file to a network drive to share. Asutype Assurance Software is also used by patients with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevent them from utilizing a keyboard. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519. A firm-Fixed Price contract is contemplated for this award. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations The POC (via email) listed in this announcement. If no responses are received by 14:00 Eastern Time on February 16, 2018 a contract will be pursued with FANIX SOFTWARE PTYL LTD.
