- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract as a contingency to meet the agency's continued need for Middleware Support Services. The period of performance will consist of a 2-month base period, a 2-month option period and (2) 1-month option periods, for a total of 6 months. The authority permitting this sole source acquisition is FAR 13.501. Middleware deploys and supports the production middleware components, problem analysis, infrastructure application, integration support and enhancements. There is a continued need for Operational and Maintenance Support, FATCA Oracle WebLogic SME support of the FATCA development staff with providing technical solutions to current issues utilizing industry best practices and ensuring compliance with IRS enterprise standards, and the Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) that provides Application Administration support, to include Operations and Maintenance support for the BOE platform. NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL BE ISSUED ON FEDBIZOPPS. This notice of intent to conduct a sole source procurement is not a request for quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than February 23, 2018,10 AM EST. Responses shall be submitted to Anita.L.Proctor@irs.gov. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information: 1. The name of your company; 2. Company DUNS No.; 3. POC name and contact information; 4. The specific services that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the services to be included on this contract; and, 5. A description of the service and its overall capabilities. It is your responsibility to demonstrate your ability to provide Middleware Support Services. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of having a product cable of meeting the Government's needs. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Responses will NOT be considered as either proposals or bids. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon any written response to this notice, is solely within the Government's discretion.
