- Sources sought document Statement of Need SOURCES SOUGHT Metal Detectors Beale Air Force Base, California THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS/QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. The 9th Contracting Squadron, Beale AFB, CA, is seeking information about qualified sources who can provide for the rental: Rent (15) walk through metal detectors, (15) 8' foot tables, (20) hand held wands, (60) Plastic bowls for personal items and the set up/tear down and calibration of the systems at the Entry Control Points for the Airshow static display area. Metal detectors and all required support items shall be delivered, setup, and calibrated in order to be ready for use no later than 27 April at 7:30 a.m. and will be required to be in place until 28 April at 4 p.m. Pick up and removal of all items shall be accomplished no earlier than 4:00 p.m. on 28 April 2018 but no later than 1200 p.m. on 30 April 2018. As detailed in the DRAFT Statement of Need. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information to this Sources Sought or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to notify the industry of the intent for a potential contract action and to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, service-disabled veteran, etc.) • Proposed NAICS: 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Devise Manufacturing • PSC: 6665 Hazard-Detecting Instruments and Apparatus • The small business size standard for this procurement, as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is $15.0 million. Please provide any suggestions if you feel a more appropriate NAICS exists. The proposed action is anticipated to be issued as a purchase order. Interested parties should submit a one paragraph notice of ability to provide the required service(s) and complete and return the requested information below NLT 1000 PST on Wednesday, 21 February 2018, to Charidy Vessels at charidy.vessels@us.af.mil.
