Description

Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify in locating capable small businesses, including Service Disabled and Veteran Owned small businesses, or any business size, capable of providing the items as listed in the attached Statement of Need. NAICS Code 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. These items are for the Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Research Service, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, business size info. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at donna.cooper2@va.gov. The unit is to be delivered directly to the VA Pittsburgh HealthCare System, Warehouse located at University Drive C, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15240. Immunohistochemical staining to characterize the cell morphology/white matter structure. Project Scope Microtome 1 each Freezing Specimen Platform 1 each Standard Specimen Clamp 1 each The required features of the microtome are: The equipment must have the ability to cut both paraffin and frozen sections. The equipment must cut brain slices 0-60Micro. The equipment must have minimal maintenance The equipment must have a freezing specimen platform. The equipment must have a specimen clamp. Shipping will be 30 Days ARO and include all shipping costs.
