Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego-Seal Beach Detachment intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR part 12 and Part 13 to RAD Data Communications, Inc. Is the sole and exclusive provider of RADcare services in the USA. RAD,900 Corporate Drive Mahwah, NJ 07430 is not a GSA supplier and these services must be purchased through RYCOM, INC., who is an authorized reseller for RAD Data Communications and a GSA contract holder and supplier. The proposed contract action is for NECCPAC, PORT HUENEME, CA. JUSTIFICATION: The Optimux 1553 and Optimux 25 provide DS3 and DS1 multiplexing to extend the ESSC T3 and backhaul T1 circuits to our classified and unclassified networks. Continued service support for this equipment is essential for the ESSC to be able to provide the services it offers without interruption. IMPACT: The RAD Equipment serves as the main hub of the ESSC connectivity to the Global Information Grid 9GIG). It is where all the circuit connections for the Classified and Unclassified networks are made. Without a current connectivity to the outside world will be at risk and the war fighter tactical Data Networks (TDN ™s) will be heavily impacted. In previous years, NECCPAC in Port Hueneme requesting Information technology (IT) warranty renewal services for existing hardware equipment. RAD Data Communications, Inc. Is the sole and exclusive provider of RADcare services in the USA. RAD is not a GSA supplier and these services must be purchased through RYCOM, INC., who is an authorized reseller for RAD Data Communications and a GSA contract holder and supplier. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 and as implement under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail to janet.nunez@navy.mil requests must include company name, address, and POC name telephone number. CAGE code, DUNS number, NAICS code, application business size and tax ID number. Responses are due by April 1, 2018, 8:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time.
