Description

Sources of Sought Poplar Island Cell 7 Spillway Inlet This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. Project Description: POPLAR ISLAND - CELL 7 COMBINED SPILLWAY INLET, TALBOT COUNTY, MARYLAND The solicitation will be for a construction contract and it will be advertised as an invitation for bid (IFB). The anticipated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The period of performance is approximately 120 calendar days. Poplar Island is located approximately 20 minutes by boat from Tilghman Island. Poplar Island is located in the Chesapeake Bay between Jefferson and Coaches Islands. All the construction will be on Poplar Island. The purpose for this contract is to provide one structure to the wetland cell 7 that allows for drainage during the development of the cell and tidal flow upon completion of the cell. The construction will be done in approximately 10 feet of water. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction) and Business Size Standard of $36.5 Million.
