Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project will upgrade/modernize/refurbish existing elevators in Buildings A and B and will also provide new smoke venting for all existing elevators in Buildings A, B, C and D. This project entails total refurbishment of elevators P10, P11, P12, S1 and S2. This includes removal and replacement of existing elevator hoistway equipment, controls, elevator doors, floor call stations and notification devices, and cab interior finishes, ceilings, and lighting, installation of new smoke vents for elevator shafts in buildings A, B, C, and D, and replacement of interior cab finishes for elevators S7, P8, P9, P17 and P18. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, coordination and services required to perform and complete the work as described in the contract drawings and specifications. ***This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice only. A Solicitation is not available at this time. This pre-solicitation notice is for informational and planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered a commitment by the Government.*** SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d) and in accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) and visible/certified in Vet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov) as an SDVOSB at time of submission of their firm's proposal to be considered. Offerors MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to proposal due date. NAICS CODE: The NAICS code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 M. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The tentative date for posting the solicitation documents to www.fbo.gov is on or about March 23rd, 2018, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. These are only tentative dates. By registering to "Watch This Opportunity", Offerors will be notified by e-mail of postings. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for a site visit and proposal submissions. This requirement is anticipated to result in a firm-fixed-price contract. Dissemination of the solicitation, specifications and drawings is limited to electronic medium only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation and for notifications of updates by registering at www.fbo.gov. An Offeror's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be issued. By registering to "Watch This Opportunity", Offerors will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers in accordance with FAR 52.215-1 [Instruction to Offerors Competitive Acquisition], Paragraph (b) [Amendments to solicitations].
