- Description
- - Synopsis: THIS NOTICE IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Although the Government is not obligated to and will NOT pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis, industry is strongly encouraged to respond to this sources sought notice as information received may affect future acquisitions for the equipment/systems in question. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, is seeking responses from industry to determine if there are any known United States (U.S.) manufactured or substantially changed grease extractors for the Gaylord Industries XG Range Hoods in existence that are being used for commercial applications. The information received will be used in a determination as to whether or not an exception to the Buy America statute exists for construction solicitations and contracts that are being performed in the United States and that are valued at less than for 41 grease extractors, due to non-availability or unreasonable cost of U.S.-made Range Hood Grease Extractors. Of particular interest to this Contracting Officer is whether there exists a U.S.-made stainless steel grease extractor measuring 18 inches high by 16 inches wide, of identical dimensions and material type to the Gaylord Industries XG Extractor Cartridge, 2017 Catalogue part number 75963. Extractor must be UL-listed. Extractor must be compatible with the Gaylord Industries XG Series Range Hoods to include the Gaylord Industries Magnetic Switch Safety Interlock System. A waiver to the Buy America statute will be pursued for an existing construction project(s) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord if it is determined that there is no U.S.-made system that can meet these requirements. It is requested that manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and industry experts either provide confirmation that a U.S.-made Rang Hood Grease Extractor exists or does not exist. Submit responses to the Contracting Office at the following email addresses: patricia.a.ortiz@usace.army.mil and elke.h.neal@usace.army.mil..Your responses should include the following information: Manufacturer name: Model and part numbers: Item Nomenclature/description: Unit of Issue/measure: Place of Origin: If substantially transformed in the U.S., the City and State where transformed: Approximate wholesale and retail price: Availability/Lead-time: Name and address of the potential supplier: Include product data/cut sheets, with the equipment salient characteristics and capabilities.
