- PROCUREMENT OF 2018 TRANCHE SCHOOLS REHABILITATION WORKS IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/25, IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/26 and IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/27 The United States of America, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation ("MCC") and the Government of the Georgia (the "Government") have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact for Millennium Challenge Account assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in Georgia (the "Compact") in the amount of approximately 140,000,000 USD ("MCC Funding"). The Compact and its related documents can be found on the MCC website (www.mcc.gov) and on the website of the Employer www.mcageorgia.ge. The Employer now invites sealed bids ("Bids") from eligible Bidders for the execution and completion of the Procurement of 2018 Tranche Schools Rehabilitation Works as follows ("Works"), which are being offered as unit price contracts based on Bill of Quantities ("Works Contract"): IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/25- LOT #1 - Kutaisi #17 and Kutaisi #5 Public Schools, LOT #2 - Kutaisi #36 and Kutaisi #10 Public Schools, LOT #3 - Khoni #3 and Inchkhuri Public Schools; IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/26 -LOT #1 - Darcheli #1, Zugdidi #8 and Zugdidi #10 Public Schools, LOT #2 - Laituri and Batumi #18 Public Schools; IFB#PP12/GEP/CW/CB/27 - LOT #1 - Zestaponi #6 and Zestaponi #7 Public Schools LOT #2 - Dilikauri and Amaghleba Public Schools. Bidders are allowed, at their opinion, to submit a Bid for any combination of individual Lots under this IFB. To qualify for award of multiple contract within this IFB the Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the aggregate requirements specified in each Bidding Documents. Bidders wishing to offer discount for the award of any combination of contracts shall specify in their Bid the price reduction applicable to each individual Lot they are bidding. The Works for the rehabilitation of public schools of Georgia include: • Demolition and removal works including small buildings such as old boiler building, old toilet block etc. (where applicable), roof and roof structure (where applicable), floors (in some cases down to structure), doors and windows, bearing and nonbearing walls, ceilings, old electrical wiring etc. Demolition and removal works may include hazardous materials during which certain safety and procedural measures will take place; • Ground works; • Construction works including small buildings such as old boiler building, old toilet block etc. • Architectural works including arrangement of new roofs and roof structures, floors, doors and windows, nonbearing walls, ceilings, stairs, ramps, canopies, walkways and footpaths; • Electrical works including power device and electric lighting; • Internal and external water supply network; • Internal and external sewage network; • Heating and ventilation system installation; A Contractor(s) will be selected using the Competitive Bidding procedures as described in the Bidding Document accompanying this Invitation for Bids (IFBs). Bidders are advised that these procedures are governed by MCC Program Procurement Guidelines which can be found on the MCC website. A joint pre-bid meetings will be held by MCA-Georgia: First pre-bid meeting - 11:00 a.m. Georgian time (GMT +4) on February 27, 2018 Second pre-bid meeting - 11:00 a.m. Georgian time (GMT +4) on March 2, 2018 At the following address: Millennium Challenge Account - Georgia 4th floor, Conference Room 5, M. Kostava Street, Tbilisi, 0108, Georgia Attendance is strongly advised for all prospective Bidders or their representatives but is not mandatory. Late Bids will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be returned unopened at the written request and cost of the Bidder.
