- SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS UTILITY VEHICLES (Qnty. 2) Must have a Kawasaki gas engine FH680D or equivalent due to maintenance/repair local support and availability of parts Must have a full cab with ROPS protection. Cab must be modular, not be a glass enclosure, but must have either roll up windows or sliders with removable doors due to durability requirements of HVAC technicians who utilize this scooter. Cab must have a rearview mirror, heater, 12 volt power outlet, fuel/hour meter, low oil indicator, windshield wipers and side mirrors with a glove box. Vehicle must be equipped with signal indicators, headlights/taillights and horn for use on facility roads. Vehicle can be 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive with a CVT transmission and an auto locking rear differential due to inclement driving conditions when traveling to equipment located off-road. Scooter must have a 2-inch rear receiver hitch for towing trailers Must have an aluminum cargo box with additional (1500 Lb) capacity due to heavy tool/equipment loads carried by technicians. Must be equipped with a ladder rack.
