- INVERTED FLUORESCENT MICROSCOPE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by 03/15/2018. Contractor is responsible for reading the contents of this document and attachments. Quotes will be accepted via e-mail at capplegate@usgs.gov or FAX to (206) 526-6654. Quotes submitted through FedBizOpps or FedConnect will not be considered. The solicitation number is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 140G0318Q0043. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97, Effective 24 Jan 2018. Full and Open Competition NAICS: 333314; Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing; Size Standard = 500 Employees Description of Supplies: The US Geological Survey, Office of Acquisition and Grants seeks competitive firm fixed price quotes to meet or exceed the following minimum technical specifications for an inverted fluorescent microscope (1 each): - All-in-one inverted fluorescence phase-contrast microscope - Ability to view slides, capability to automatically scan entire tissue culture plates (96-well, 48 well) and tissue culture flasks (25cm, 75cc) - Microscope must have bright field, fluorescence, and phase-contrast imaging with the capability for image stitching, Z-stack image capturing, and coordinate-specific condition setting - Fully digital output - Automated multi-well analysis - Modular slide holders compatible with tissue culture flasks, plates, multi-well plates, coverslips, and slides. - Automated objective lens switching - Electronic Z stage - Electronic filter turret - Fluorescence dimming mechanism - Stage is fully contained in a built-in darkroom - CCD cooling mechanism - Electronic shutter - Anti-Photo Bleaching Mode - Live cell incubation chamber for fluorescent reporter assays - Software with the following capabilities: o Moving image recording o Multi-color capturing o Multipoint image capturing o Real -time Z-stacking o Time lapse XY-and Z cell tracking o Automatic cell counting o Measurement In addition to a quote, as per FAR 52.212-1, offerers are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation.
