- Solicitation Complete The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the U.S. Federal navigation projects located on Lakes Erie and Ontario. As part of the ongoing maintenance effort, the Corps annually performs maintenance repairs to navigation structures utilizing in-house floating plant. The existing floating crane has reached the end of its service life and is being removed from the Derrickboat McCauley, which will then be converted into a crane barge capable of carrying a crawler crane. A rental crane is required for placement on the McCauley to allow the Corps floating plant to continue working for up to 4 years, depending on Government need and availability of funds.
