- This is a sources sought notice for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, and management capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam Office has a requirement to furnish three (3) high volume pumping units for the purpose of dewatering a sump. The pump shall move the sump water up a column with a minimum total head of 75 feet at a minimum rate of 5,000 gallons per minute (GPM). The Government is seeking responsible sources having capabilities for furnishing the pumps. The pump requirements are as follows: Motor Requirements: HP 100, Phase: 3, RPM: 1185, Voltage: 2300, Hertz: 60, Enclosure: WP-1, Type: VHS or Vertical Hollow Shaft, Coupling type: threaded, Frame: L 444 TP, Alternate current, Ohms RTD's in the stator winding Pumps Requirements: 5000 gpm, Min. 65' total head, Line shaft: 1-1/2", Shaft tube: 2·1/2, Impeller: Enclose, Stage: One, 22 BKH type, 316 SS strainer, Oil Lube Material Requirements: Column pipe: 316 s.s. with.375 w, Line shaft: A276-316 S.S., Shaft Tube: 316 S.S Sch 80, Bowl shaft: A 276- 316 S.S., Line shaft coupling: A 276 - 304 S.S, 310.5" column from the Bottom of motor to centerline discharge, Column should be 56'4.5" from the bottom of motor plate to bottom of strainer, Discharge 16" F.F Ansi Flange 150# This acquisition when announced, will be conducted under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333914, Measuring, Dispensing, and Other and Pumping Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. Capability statements are to be submitted not later than March 21, 2018. The capabilities package submitted by a vendor should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to perform the principal components of work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Provide business name, address, business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. (2) Demonstrate the firm's experience by providing a list of projects completed where the work involved furnishing vertical turbine pumps in the past three years, and in which your firm performed the work. Include in the list only work comparable to the size for which your firm was entirely responsible for providing the labor, facilities, equipment, and material. Additionally, for each project listed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar value of the job, location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed.
