- Synopsis McCoy's Cut Diversion Structure, McCoombs and Rifle Cut Closures and Channel Improvements W912HN18B5002 NAICS: 237990 Size Standard: $27.5M This synopsis is for the McCoy's Cut Diversion Structure, McCoombs and Rifle Cut Closures and Channel Improvements. This acquisition is being offered as an unrestricted competitive solicitation and will result in a Fixed Price Contract Award. The construction magnitude for this project is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. Description of Work: The work includes a diversion structure on the Savannah River, several channel improvement features and 2 cut closures along the Middle River and Little Back River. The diversion structure is a straight, 280 foot long, steel sheet pile wall that extends perpendicular from the south river bank at McCoy's Cut into the Savannah River. The structure includes a cap beam to distribute impact loads to adjacent sheet piles, and a steel pipe pile is located at the riverside end of the structure to protect the end of the structure from debris impact. Channel improvements include dredging McCoy's Cut, Little Back River and Middle River for a total distance of approximately 19,500 ft to depths ranging from -7 ft MLLW to -14 ft MLLW. Two closure structures constructed of rock and recycled concrete material currently stockpiled along the Back River at DMCA 12A will be constructed at the western end of McCoombs Cut and Rifle Cut. Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using Sealed Bidding Procedures under FAR 14. NOTE: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available on or about March 30, 2018. Please note that the bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Any prospective Offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then register at https://www.fbo.gov in order to obtain solicitation documents, plans and specifications for this solicitation. Contractors that have an existing account should be able to use their existing logins to search for the solicitation number once it is released at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any amendments that may be posted to this solicitation. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
