- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to award a purchase order to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC 1 Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594 for Maintenance Agreement the Zeiss AXIO Imager.M2 Microscope. This is for a Base + Four (4) Option Year Contract. Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC is the only entity authorized by Carl Zeiss Microscopy GmbH to provide comprehensive service and support for their instruments. The technical service representatives receive comprehensive and on-going factory training and regular technical updates, as well as having direct access to original manufacturer's parts to help maintain their instruments. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Offerors shall provide a copy of their signed agreement with the original equipment manufacturer to provide the OEM service and OEM parts. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the NICHD201800026 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due five (5) days after the release of the RFQ at 11AM EST. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. Kelly Robinson at Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) 6710B Rockledge Drive, Room 1145B Bethesda, MD 20892 or via email Kelly.Robinson@nih.gov.
