- Description
- NASA/HQ intends to enter into a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Digital Globe, Inc. for unique commercial satellite imagery in support of NASA's pilot program requirement for high quality and high-resolution Earth science data. Digital Globe owns a constellation of five (5) satellites of very high-resolution commercial imaging which could assist in NASA's mission. The Government intends to use FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contract not later than 3:00 pm local time on March 22, 2018. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based up responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
