- Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has a requirement for copper control cable (copy of specifications attached): 1.CABLE, CONTROL #10, 12/C,600VSHIELDED (5 MIL COPPER TAPE); TYPE XHHW COLOR CODE SHOULD BE: BLACK/RED/BLUE/GREEN/WHITE/ORANGE/ - RED-BLACK//GREEN-BLACK//ORANGE-BLACK BLUE-BLACK//WHITE-BLACK//BLACK-WHITE/, 1000'/REEL, ARBOR 2 1/2" 2.CABLE, CONTROL #10 5/C, DIRECT BURIED, 600V, 5 MIL COPPER FOIL SHIELD HELICALLY WRAPPED WITH 10% MINIMUM OVERLAP. BLACK,WHITE,GREEN,ORANGE,RED - MAX 1000'/ REEL, ARBOR 2 1/2" MIN The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Terms include FOB Destination to Cody, Wyoming. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures is being utilized for this requirement. The solicitation (Request for Quotes) will be issued as a competitive, total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 331420; the applicable size standard is 1,000 employees. The full solicitation (Request for Quotes) will be issued electronically on or about March 9, 2018, at which time all information, specifications and attachments regarding the RFQ will be posted. Contractor must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at time of quote submission in order to be considered for award. DUNS number is required for SAM registration. Please note: This is an expedited requirement. Delivery will be required NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m. on April 16, 2018 as the cable is needed for a project already scheduled. The award will be based upon Lowest Price-Technically Acceptable (based on the attached specifications and ability to deliver by the date required). Quotes shall be due by 2:00 p.m. EDT on March 14, 2018. All responses to this RFQ shall be emailed to the Contracting Officer (hammans@wapa.gov) or via electronically via Fedconnect.
