- Description
- AFTC/PZIEA, Edwards AFB, California, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order for Data Service and Software Support to ARINC, Inc., under the authority of 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This authority is supported by an approved Justification and Approval's document. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action. Anticipated award date is 23 April 2018. This requirement is for: Data Link (DL) connectivity to the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) network and Engineering Technical & Maintenance Support Services to sustain the existing hardware and software that interfaces to the DL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 517919. Small Business size standard is: $32,500,000. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The proposed source, ARINC's design is proprietary with a complex software support system. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the government. This is not a request for proposal and is not to be considered as a commitment by the government.
