- Notice Type: Posted Date: Intent to Award to a Sole Source March 13, 2018 Original Set Aside: Response Date: Open Market-Non-Competitive March 16, 2017 @ 10:00 AM EST Classification Code: NAICS Code: J065 Maintenance and Repair Services 334512 Automatic Environmental Control (Commercial and Appliance Use) Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7; WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located in Columbia, South Carolina; hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source contract for: Service to replace two (2) Siemens Variable Frequency Drives (VFD s) with Bypass for a return fan, which are components of the Siemens facility-wide energy management system. The new VFD s will then need to be tied back in to the existing Siemens Energy Management Control System. Control Management, Inc is designated as holding exclusive rights to sell, design, install, and service this equipment as authorized by Siemens Industry, Inc. To: CONTROL MANAGEMENT INC SANDLAPPER CONTROLS, INC 3101 CARLISLE STREET COLUMBIA, SC 29205 No solicitation will be forthcoming; this is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive proposals, pursuant to: FAR 13.106-1, Soliciting Competition - (b) Soliciting from a single source. (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, (i) Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting this requirement and not void any warranties may contact the Contract Specialist no later than 10:00 a.m. est March 16, 2018 at jeffrey.west3@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
