Description
The Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), Integrated Air, Space, Cyberspace and ISR Operations Directorate (A2/3/6S), Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado hereby issues the following special notice. The purpose of this announcement is to formally communicate the Government's plan to conduct a Range Activity Customer Exchange (RACE) event to provide Government and industry range customers an overview of future and current business, technical and operational practices at the Eastern Range (Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL) and Western Range (Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA). The RACE event will occur in the Air Force Space Command Auditorium at Peterson Air Force Base, 150 Vandenberg St, Colorado Springs, CO 80915, on 24-25 April 2018 from 0800-1700 MT. The first day of the event, 24 April 2018, will be informational only to provide Government and industry mid-level with key insight to range interactions. On the second day of the event, 25 April 2018, one-on-one discussions are planned to gain insight into range customer requirements. Additionally, there will be future planning sessions on range instrumentation to offer users an opportunity to provide feedback. The RACE agenda is subject to change prior to the event. Day 1, 24 April 2018 – The Government plans to present information on current activities and future LTRS initiatives. Range of the Future – Range Vision 2028, Flight Plan, organizational changes, Automated Flight Safety Systems, “plug and play” Range capability Policy, Guidance and Direction – Fiscal Year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act direction and Congressional Reports Enterprise Priorities – Modernization and sustainment projects, future planning Facility and Utility Modernization – CE Projects, facility and utility sustainment and modernization, base access to the Eastern and Western Ranges Base Process Overviews – Environmental processes and real property challenges Planning and Scheduling – GPS testing and deconfliction, scheduling tool updates, and neighboring operations Those interested in participating in the first day of the event should contact AFSPC Point of Contact (POC), Ms. Erin Russ, by email prior to 30 March 2018, 1600 MT. Attendance is limited to 10 individuals per organization/company. Within the email, please provide: each attendee’s full name, email address, phone number, organization/company, date of birth, driver's license state, driver's license number, and indicate if they are a U.S. Citizen. The POC will provide confirmed RSVP attendees with the final details of how to gain access to Peterson Air Force Base and where the briefings/one-on-ones will be held. Each attendee will be required to bring a Government-issued photo ID such as a current driver's license, Common Access Card (CAC), or passport, and current proof of employment (e.g., company employee badge). Day 2, 25 April 2018 – For organizations/companies requesting one-on-one discussions or attendance to the future planning sessions, please contact Ms. Russ by email prior to 1600 MT on 30 March 2018. Requests for one-on-one schedules will not be accepted if submitted after 1600 MST on 30 March 2018. Attendance is limited to 10 individuals per organization/company. Please include a topic for discussion. If your company intends on providing or sharing information that requires a Non-Disclosure Agreement for the Government panel to sign, please include this document as an attachment in your email. Based on submissions, the Government will establish the schedule and location for the discussions on 25 April and notify requesting organizations and companies accordingly. This special announcement is not a request for proposal, a request for quote or a solicitation announcement. This is not an effort to acquire products, services or technology. No product sale pitches, services proposals or solicitations will be entertained during either Day 1 or Day 2 of the RACE event. Information contained in this announcement is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision and is not binding on the Government. The Vendor is solely responsible for all costs incurred for participation in either session of this event; the Government will not reimburse the Vendor for any costs incurred as a result of their participation.
