The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has a requirement, to be awarded on a competitive bases, for the fabrication and delivery of one hundred ten (110) AN/BRR-6() Tow Cable Shipping/Storage Box Assemblies, Part Number 8603581-1. These assemblies include an off-the-shelf, altered item shipping crate and an aluminum reel assembly and will be used to ship and store new and used BRR-6() Buoy Tow Cables between the cable manufacturer and the water front. Fabrication drawings, part numbers, and specifications will be provided upon request after the issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Solicitation Number for this acquisition is N6449818R4017. The official RFP will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 23 March 2018 and will close approximately 30 days thereafter. Written proposals will be requested at that time. Be advised that periodic access to the website listed above is essential for obtaining updated documentation and information regarding subject procurement. It is the Offerors' responsibility to monitor the FBO website for the issuance of the RFP and any amendments. The official media for distribution of this RFP is Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY. No CDs or hard copies will be provided. Award will be made as a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Delivery will be required within 26 weeks after receipt of award and in accordance with the delivery schedule contained in the solicitation. The requirement is being competed as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 336611 (Shipbuilding and Repairing); Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees.
