Description
Request for Proposal - Community Strengthening Project (CSP) The United States Agency for International Development in Burma (USAID/Burma) is seeking proposals from non-profit or for-profit organizations, to provide technical and support services for the USAID Community Strengthening Project (CSP) in Myanmar." This is a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) term type contract with a period of performance of three years (base) with two, one-year Options. The goal of the project is to design and implement interventions to assist communities in areas affected by or prone to conflict to improve access to essential services, recover from conflict, improve their resilience to future shocks, and empower them to more fully participate in Myanmar's democratic transition and national reconciliation processes. The Contractor will achieve this goal by promoting locally-driven and community-centered approaches that: expand access to essential services such as health, education, livelihoods, water, sanitation, and civil documentation; improve or rehabilitate community infrastructure; support early recovery and enhance resilience to future crises; develop and strengthen community level participatory leadership and governance; and, increase the ability of communities, civil society, and local governance actors to build constructive relationships that support cohesion, advance prospects for peace, and mitigate conflict. The Contractor will also provide analytical services underlying the iterative and adaptive approach to activities.
