Page 1 of 1 Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for small business firm and firms that are classified under one or more of the following SBA programs: SDVOSB, and/or VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, WOSB, and small business. The firm must be a Design Build Contractor with an approved NAICS Code 236220, Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. This project consists of the disconnection and storage of an existing ground mounted solar farm, the construction of a new approximately 35,000 square foot multi-story dietetics building per the VA Technical Information Library criteria to include but not limited to the VA Mission Critical Design and VA Seismic Design Requirements Manuals. The building will serve approximately 1,000,000 meals per year, consisting of quick chill meals until the new hospital is constructed. After activation of the new hospital, the kitchen will serve room service type meals to the hospital. The room service meals will be delivered to the hospital via an automated guided vehicle system via a tunnel, this must be integrated into base design. The selected contractor must have the following construction experience, kitchen, utility relocation, new vertical construction experience on a VA Medical Center campus in meeting construction site, noise, dust, traffic, utility redundancy, security, and other medical center environment constraints / requirements. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $20M-$50M. ($20,000,000-$50,000,000). At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a solicitation. Small Business Contractors and vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Company Name, 2. Address, 3. Point of Contact, 4. Phone number and e-mail address, 5. Business size determination and qualifying Small Business status, 6. Certification of Small Business Status, 7. Design Build experience of similar projects in size, complexity, and dollar amount. Respondents are requested to submit a Capability Statement that exhibits clear and convincing evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience to perform the listed tasks. The capability statement is not to exceed 5 pages. Please provide your responses by email (ONLY) by March 23, 2018 to the Noella Bond, Contracting Officer, email address, noella.bond@va.gov. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought. Small business concerns failing to respond to this ad will not be precluded from responding to the solicitation. Note that this is not a Request for Proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
