- The purpose of Amendment #1 is to answer contractor submitted questions and exetend the proposal due date from 16 March 2018 to 21 March 2018. Question #1: Can you (Lathe Machine) connect with WI FI and or blue tooth devises in the shop? Answer: This feature can be disabled when installed but there is not WI-FI or hotspot to connect to in the shop for the machine to use this feature. Question #2: The smooth control is not secure due to the fact it can be monitored by an outside devise. Is this a violation of Information Technology (IT) procedures? Answer: The lathe machine will not be connected to wifi and does not violate base IT procedures. Question #3: Can the Smooth Control requirement be removed from the requirement? Answer: No, the Smooth Control requirement will not be removed. Question #4: We need the distances between centers and swing to determine what size lathe you would need? Answer: The Swing will be 22.83" and the center to center will be 20.750".
