- Sources Sought Synopsis with Contractor Capability Survey Sources Sought Synopsis Maintenance Kit, Air (Tool Kit-Proximity sensor Test) (NSN 4920-01-573-1388) CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Maintenance Kit, Air (Tool Kit-Proximity sensor Test) for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. <h4 style="MARGIN-LEFT: 24pt; punctuation-wrap: simple; mso-line-break-override: restrictions"> PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production/repair of Maintenance Kit, Air (Tool Kit-Proximity sensor Test) NSN: 4920-01-573-1388 for USAF personnel. This is a build to print acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a 4-year contract (basic plus three option years) and will continue through FY22, the requirement will also require a first article, first article test plan, and first article test report. The projected quantities will be a basic quantity of 4 with three option perionds of 2 ea. The tools alter the magnetic field of proximity sensor so desired "target near" or "target far"condition can be obtained without putting the aircraft in airmode. Tool kit is used in between the sensors and the targets during fault isolation or functional testing of different systems. The Maintenance Kit, Air (Tool Kit-Proximity sensor Test) should be fabricated IAW with attached drawings. A drawing package is available and will be included at the time of solicitation. Multiple Sources Sought Synopsis are being posted to FBO for other NSNs for C-17 Support Equipment. Results from these sources sought synopsis may be used to combine requirements in an attempt to leverage economy of scale.
